Peskov answered a question about the consequences of the EU’s refusal to pay for gas in rubles

Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov commented on the decision of the G7 countries to refuse to pay for Russian gas in rubles.

According to Peskov, in this case, the Russian side will simply stop supplying energy to the EU, according to PBS.

“No payment – no gas,” the press said -Secretary of the head of state, adding that the transition to settlements in rubles is a rather laborious process and will take time.

According to him, all modalities between the government, the Central Bank and Gazprom are currently being worked out.

As for European buyers, Peskov admitted that he does not yet know what will happen if they reject the possibility of buying gas for Russian currency.

“However, we definitely they don’t intend to engage in eloquence,” he concluded.
