The expert called the secret goals of Poland in the conflict in Ukraine

What explains Warsaw’s special interest in Russia’s special operation

Despite the fact that at the recent emergency NATO summit, Warsaw’s adventurous idea to send an “international peacekeeping mission” to Ukraine (preferably under the auspices of NATO) did not receive approval from the “senior comrades”, Poland is clearly not averse to intervening in the Ukrainian conflict. The President of the All-Russian Police Association, Doctor of Law, Honored Lawyer of Russia, Professor, Lieutenant General Yuri Zhdanov spoke about the prospects for Polish intervention in the events in Ukraine.

– The Poles themselves openly talk about this literally on every corner, and at the highest level. Let's start with the fact that their national idea is the revival of the Commonwealth “from mozh to mozh”. That is, from the Black Sea to the Baltic, within the borders of the 18th century to the first partition of Poland. And for this, territories will have to be taken away from at least five states – Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Germany. Well, maybe the Czech Republic, Latvia and Moldova, as the card will fall.

– Recently appeared. Acquisition of such real estate without a solid sponsor is impossible. And such a sponsor showed up: do not believe it – the United States. President Biden did not accidentally show up in Poland the other day. Moreover, he made an incendiary speech not in the capital – Warsaw, which would be logical for the head of state who arrived in another state. And in the provincial border town of Rzeszow. It is only 146 kilometers from the regional capital of Ukrainian Galicia, the city of Lviv. This territory – Western Ukraine, Galicia – the Poles sincerely consider primordially Polish, forcibly torn away from them by the evil Stalin. Their conviction in their rightness and belief in the triumph of “their justice” is so great that the famous military unit is stationed in Rzeszow – the 21st brigade of the Podhale Riflemen of the 18th mechanized division. Until 1939, it was the 21st mountain division of the Podhalian Riflemen, named after the southern Polish town of Podhale. These are huntsmen, superbly trained mountain special forces of those times. The highlight is that both then and now they are the only ones who wore and still wear not the traditional for the Polish Confederate Army, but the Hutsul felt hats adopted by the Carpathian inhabitants. The message is transparent – they consider themselves the real masters of all the Carpathians. And, apparently, they are going to return to their supposedly former lands. And their traditional emblem, to which they attach a beautiful eagle feather, is “a broken cross-swastika on two twigs.” Yes, it's the swastika. And an edelweiss flower. Reminds me of something?

– He was nothing less than pushing the Poles to some kind of peacekeeping, “humanitarian” mission in Ukraine. Western analysts recall that the Poles themselves recently came up with the initiative to send a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine, which caused a sharp rebuff from Russia and a promise that this would be regarded as an act of aggression. The question that undoubtedly confronts the NATO countries is how long they can refrain from direct conflict with Russia. And the idea to send a Polish peacekeeping mission, say, at the request of the Polish population living in Western Ukraine, is a kind of trial balloon.

will decide to engage in deadly risky peacekeeping in Ukraine not within the framework of the alliance, but at their own peril and risk. In order not to draw the whole of NATO into a direct armed clash with Russia in case of failure.

That is, it is still assumed that the countryCan a NATO member independently participate in a military conflict?

– In fact, this is already happening. The NATO Charter does not prohibit its members from helping other countries that are part of military alliances with it. So, Turkey seized part of the territory of Syria without any permission from NATO. In addition, there is the AUKUS military alliance, which includes the United States, England and Australia. And who can prevent the United States, as a member of this alliance, from supporting Great Britain in its assistance to Ukraine without any NATO?

– But Poland, apparently, wants to. There is information that the Polish Army began resupplying the divisions stationed in the east of the country to wartime states. So far, few people notice this against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine. Let me remind you that the strength of the Polish army is 160 thousand people plus a million reservists. So, the 18th mechanized division, already the most powerful in this army, began to receive the first replenishment with storerooms, the total number of which is about to be brought to almost 20 thousand soldiers and officers. Its headquarters and administration, as well as the 1st Warsaw armored brigade named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko, are stationed near Warsaw. This is a day's march from Belarusian Brest.

Another brigade of the 18th Mechanized Division – the same 21st Podhale Riflemen named after Brigadier General Mieczysław Borut-Spichowicz, as I already said – near the city of Rzeszow.

Third – 19th Lublin Mechanized Brigade named after Franciszek Kleeberg – in Lublin. This is the 121st kilometer in a straight line from the same Brest.

– On the one hand, they would like to stop Russia at least on the outskirts of the Carpathians for “humanitarian purposes”. But, on the other hand, the Belarusian direction for the Polish generals is also very tempting. So, in the fall of last year, under the pretext of stopping illegal migrants from the Middle East, tank and mechanized formations began hastily advancing to the border with Belarus.

From the Lower Silesian Voivodeship on the border with Germany near Brest – the 10th armored cavalry brigade named after General of Armor Stanislav Maczek, which is armed with Leopard tanks, self-propelled guns 2S1 Gvozdika, MLRS Langusta. On the Volkovysk operational direction from the city of Szczecin – the 12th mechanized brigade named after General of Armor Jozef Haller, armed with wheeled infantry fighting vehicles of the “Wolverine” type.

The 15th Gizhitskaya mechanized brigade named after Zawisza Cherny and the 9th armored cavalry brigade of the 16th Pomeranian mechanized division named after King Casimir IV Jagiellonchik.

Behind these formations since last autumn, the 1st Pomorskaya and 10th Opolskaya brigades of the rear, as well as the 6th airborne brigade and units of the Nil special forces have been located.

In fact, the first echelon of a possible strike has been created across Belarus. And the success of this strike should be developed by the already mentioned 18th mechanized division.

– It's no secret that the chances of a surprise strike against Belarus being successful have been discussed in Warsaw for a long time. Since the autumn of 2021, when the advance of Polish tanks began almost to the outskirts of Brest and Grodno, these discussions have been especially active. Moreover, the probability of a victorious blitzkrieg by the military specialists of this country is highly estimated. But on one indispensable condition.

– In November last year, the former commander of the Polish Land Forces, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, spoke very frankly about this. In an interview with the Super Express newspaper, he said that “Minsk is too weak”, and that if the conflict starts without the support of Russia, then “three days – and Belarus will be ours.”

“They are counting on seizing the right moment. That's how it is now. Due to the events in Ukraine these days and months in the Belarusian direction, Russia's hands are too tightly tied. What looks like a serious temptation for Polish politicians and commanders to try to fulfill their old dream of digging out the history of the Commonwealth from the ashes. If the Poles, ready to throw, actually start a war with Belarus in the near future, our military group in Ukraine will find itself in a very difficult strategic position.

So, the possible Polish threat must be taken seriously, without hatred. After the hypothetical transition of Poland to the offensive against Brest or Grodno, our common front with the Belarusians will instantly increase by almost 400 kilometers of the Belarusian-Polish state border. I believe our General Staff took all these factors into account.

– They can, of course. But they are three times inferior in the number of infantry and tanks. Yes, the Belarusians have an obvious advantage in heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. And in the confrontation in the air, it is difficult to give preference to any of the parties. The Poles generally have more strike aircraft. But some of them are clearly outdated design. But the Belarusians have a powerful and fairly modern air defense system.

– It does not shine. In three days, as the Polish generals dream, such large cities as Minsk (population 2 million), Gomel (535 thousand), Mogilev (400 thousand), Vitebsk (378 thousand) and others cannot be taken by a dashing uhlan attack. I'm not even talking about another dream of Polish warriors – Russian Kaliningrad. The Polish arrogance, of course, is a powerful force, but here the Baltic Fleet will come into play, against which the Poles have no chance. As, however, in any other single country in the region.

– Very active! To do this, they have a secret division “Black Spiders”. Alexander Malkevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Development of the Information Society, Mass Media and Mass Communications of the Civic Chamber of Russia, after the events in Belarus in 2020 at the expert media forum “Information Security of the Union State: Modern Challenges and New Technologies” said that “Black Spiders” − the central group of psychological operations, which is stationed in the city of Bytgoszcz. It is subordinate to the Directorate of Intelligence and Electronic Warfare of the Ground Forces of the Polish Army.

– About 200 people work in the Black Spiders – military personnel, specialists in the field of IT, psychology, sociology, 70% of the employees speak several foreign languages. They specialize in conducting psychological operations on the Internet or with the help of information and communication technologies. They also supervise, and this information is not hidden in Poland, a whole “bed” of opposition information resources that operate on the territory of Belarus.

This activity of the Polish special services drew attention in Russia, since it is an absolute copy of those Telegram channels that were tested in Belarus. The same matrix was created for the Russian audience. One channel specializes in the distribution of instructions and campaign materials, the other is a thematic gloomy news feed.

“Black spiders” also appeared in the events in Kazakhstan at the beginning of this year. Many users noted that the NEXTA channel (recognized as extremist in Belarus), which had previously been actively used to coordinate protests in Belarus and was under the external control of the Polish special services, became the key Telegram channel that covered the course of mass protests in Kazakhstan.

This structure, quite naturally, prefers not to publicly declare itself anywhere. However, there is reason to believe that the Polish Internet resources NEXTA and NEXTA Life (recognized as extremist in Belarus) were actively planting fakes to shake up the situation in Belarus, and that their work is controlled and directed directly by the leadership of the Polish Central Group of Psychological Actions.

As the conflict in Kazakhstan flared up for several days, this out-of-country information resource blurred the protesters' original very specific demands, focusing solely on political demands and their own interpretation, unwittingly drawing parallels with the Arab Spring. It is worth noting that the “arsonists” located on the territory of Poland did everything possible to keep the conflict from dying out for as long as possible.

In addition, one of the aforementioned telegram channels began to call for identifying the identities of the fighters of the CSTO peacekeeping contingent sent to Kazakhstan, clearly to carry out malicious actions against them.

The handwriting of Nazi propaganda in Ukraine also shows the methods of work of the Polish ” Black spiders”.

Do these Black Spiders operate in Poland itself or are they only for external use?

– It is the Black Spiders that are cultivated neo-Nazi structures in Poland and manage them.

For example, thanks to their activities, on November 11, 2017, on the Independence Day of Poland, the largest ultra-right march in Europe in all the post-war years took place in Warsaw. They walked in balaclavas and with other neo-Nazi paraphernalia – from torches to slogans: “White Europe!”, “Pure nation, pure Poland!”, “Refugees out!” etc. In interviews with the media, the marchers demanded to “cleanse” the authorities from “foreigners” – primarily Jews. Up to 100 thousand people participated in the march. Then ultra-rightists from Sweden, Hungary, Slovakia and other countries gathered in the Polish capital. It can be said that Warsaw in those days became an international center of neo-Nazism, similar to Berlin during the holidays in the 1930s and 1940s. However, the “Black Spiders” direct the energy of Polish neo-Nazis to external “enemies”. Among the banners carried by the participants was the following: “Lviv and Vilna, we remember you!” Polish nationalists insist that Volyn, Galicia and all of Lithuania are the historical lands of the Poles, which should be returned.
