The Ministry of Health announced its readiness to provide assistance to those infected with monkeypox

The Ministry of Health of Russia declared the readiness of the domestic health system to provide assistance if new cases of monkeypox are detected in the country, TASS reports. 

From the statement of the department it follows that the regions were sent guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox.

Earlier today it was reported that the first case of monkeypox was recorded in Russia. The disease was detected in a Russian who recently returned from a trip to Europe. 

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the patient's condition is stable, nothing threatens his life. It was noted that all persons in contact with the sick person are identified and are under the supervision of medical workers.
